Celebrating Fathers Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord. . . . Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, so are the children of one's youth. Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them; they shall not be ashamed. Psalm 127:3-5 As we honor our fathers, let's take a look at some of our nation's Founders, most of whom were also fathers. Many of the signers of the Declaration had children, and Carter Braxton had the largest family with 18 children. Some signers of the Constitution also had large families , such as William Livingston (13) and Roger Sherman (15). As good fathers, these men led in the spiritual care of their children.
